What tax category are food purchases for food sales rep?

My husband is a food sales rep employee in which he also gives consultations/suggestions for restaurants. As a result, he eats at many of his customers' restaurants to try their food or at potential customers' restaurants. This should be tax deductible because it's for his job in which he is trying their food and/or trying to promote business. However, I don't think this would fall into the meal category which is only 50% deductible. Anyone know what category this would fall into?

If he's eating at their restaurants with an eye towards promoting their restaurant, THEY should be paying for the meals.

Meals taken in the vicinity of your tax home are not deductible. A food critic might have an argument but your hubby does not.
