for jeans:: theres a lot. you could buy rhinestones or glitter. or in art stores like a c morre you could buy special items to make it ripped. its very easy to use. but one of the coolest is bleach. special cloth bleach. make spots to look like paint spots. it looks aweome!
for shirts: sewing lace on the bottom hem looks totally cool. beads and sequns look good by the top hem. especially in layering..

Well you could always do tie dye and buy a kit. Also you could put beads or jewels on jeans, tops, hats, and bags.
