How do I go about opening a clothing store in a large metropolis?

My bestfriend and I have an idea about opening a clothing store in Detroit or one of the surrounding cities we have no idea where to begin. Help please.

You need to rent a shop where you'll get alot of pedestrian traffic. Work from there.
